- J-WORKS is copyrighted and must be licensed for use past the initial
- evaluation period.

- J-Works is a Windows based residential load calculation program. Heating/cooling
- multipliers weather data for over 750 cities is included.

- Hardware/Software requirements: Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. 8M RAM, 6.5M Hard
- drive free. J-Works runs best on a 486 or Pentium computer.

- To install J-Works:
- 1. unzip the zip file into a temporary directory.
- 2. From Program manager use the run command to run
- the file SETUP.EXE.
- 3. The setup program will guide you from there,
- creating Program group and installing files.
- 4. To start the J-Works, click on the J-Works icon in the J-Works program group.

- Consult the online Windows help file after installation for details on
- registering J-Works. Reg. Fee: $149.50

- Note: If you encounter problems running J-Works in Windows 3.1, go to
- file manager and search for REG.DAT. This file should be 64K or less.
- Should this file be 64K or greater follow this procedure:
- Exit out of J-Works and delete the Jworks directory.

- 1. Rename REG.DAT to REGDAT.OLD
- 2. Restart Windows(A new REG.DAT will be created)
- 3. Go to File Manager and Search for *.REG
- 4. OLE2.REG and SETUP.REG should be listed
- 5. Double click on each of these files. Each time you should recieve a
- verification that the file has been registered in the registration database.
- (If it says these files are not associated with any program, click on File and
- Associate and chose Registration(REGEDIT.EXE) to associate .REG files with.
- Then double-click on OLE2.REG and then on SETUP.REG to register them.)
- 6. Reinstall J-Works.
- 7. This should correct problems running J-Works.
